About the Role:

Working as an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor, for Cook Brothers Construction at our Queenstown Office, is a fantastic opportunity to show case your skills and experience, whilst continuing to grow and develop.

You will work closely with Project Managers, managing the costs and internal budgets of projects across the Queenstown region.

Your main duties will include:

  • Cost controlling
  • Internal budgeting
  • Forecasting and reporting
  • Subtrade packages and tenders
  • Assess progress claims and variations
  • Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Working closely with the Project team on challenges and opportunities

About You:

You will have strong and effective communication skills, with the ability to build solid relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, as well as: 

  • Demonstrated experience, working on commercial projects in New Zealand
  • Relevant diploma/degree
  • Experience working on commercial projects
  • Good commercial acumen
  • Experience successfully managing costs through project life cycle
  • The ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively with team members and trade partners
  • Permanent NZ Work Rights
