About the Role

Due to a strong pipeline of work, we're looking for an experienced Leading Hand to join our Canterbury, Auckland and Southern Lakes teams. You will be a team player, a natural leader, and proud of the high-quality carpentry that you produce, time and time again.

 

Duties:

  • Contributing to our supportive and inclusive positive Build Team and cooperating with our trade partners on site
  • Being a point of contact between the carpentry team and the BTM (site manager)
  • Manage the team and trade partners when necessary
  • Leading toolbox tools, completing time sheets, and mentoring team members
  • Completing all necessary carpentry tasks
  • Monitoring and maintaining levels of quality Working in a tidy and efficient manner
  • Committing to being part of a positive health and safety culture

Your tasks may include: Concrete work, framing, hardware, insulation, joinery, siteworks, trims and finishing, windows and doors, erecting walls, building stairs, or precision tasks such as repairing furniture or installing cabinets, trim and molding. Excavations, demolition work, precast erection, reinforcing steel, roof framing.

 

Experience and Skills required:

  • Post qualification experience in New Zealand or Australia preferred
  • NZ Trade qualification in Carpentry Commercial build experience preferred
  • Experience working in a Foreman position on site
  • Proven ability to deliver on quality and high-level customer satisfaction
  • Ability to work well in team
