About the Role

As the Plant Manager for our Canterbury yard, you will be responsible for the management, maintenance and purchasing of the tools, materials, and equipment for use on our construction sites.

You will be highly organized, forward planning and have a knack for building strong, long lasting relationships with your teammates and external partners. 

  • Working with Site Managers to ensure they have all tools and materials needed
  • Coordinating drop off and pick up of items from sites
  • Keeping tools compliant through tagging and testing (training offered)
  • Organizing repairs and replacement of tools and equipment
  • Helping on site during downtime (setting up and disestablishing sites, tidying up)

 

About You

This role will require someone who can take ownership and pride in the work that they do, and you won’t shy away from putting your hand up to help out your teammates. 

  • Experience working in the construction, civil, or agricultural fields is preferred
  • A good understanding of carpentry tools is also preferred
  • Physically fit and able to perform the work required
  • Understanding of Zero Harm and the importance of following correct Health & Safety practices in the workplace
  • A current drivers licence
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel and Word)
