Starting from humble beginnings in Dunedin, Cook Brothers Construction has grown substantially over the last seventeen years. We currently operate across Southern Lakes, Canterbury, Otago and Auckland.
We enjoy celebrating our success and believe it is important we do so. Our team, and our projects are a testament to the hard work and commitment over this time.
Our goal is to inspire people more than to manage them. We trust our teams to do what they think is best for Cook Brothers Construction, giving them lots of freedom to make the best decisions for the company at that time.
Through innovation, quality, client satisfaction and sustainability, we strive to be a national leader in our industry, we believe our team is the heart and soul of us achieving this!
If you want to be a part of this journey, then this role is for you.
About the Role
At Cook Brothers Construction, we understand the part we have to play in preserving the environment for future generations, and this is why we have a goal to become the most sustainable construction company in New Zealand. Part of achieving this requires us to address the waste that is generated from our construction practices.
We're looking for a sustainability champion to join our Southern Lakes & Canterbury build teams.
Working closely with the site teams, the Procurement Manager, and the Sustainability Manager, the Sustainability Carpenter will aim to minimise the impact that our operations have to the natural environment by diverting as much waste from the landfill as possible. It could be by repurposing timber to make toys or furniture for the community, selling or donating items, or creating systems for reusing products - the possibilities are endless! This role requires someone who has an endless passion for sustainability and is keen to encourage others to prioritise the same values. There is real potential here to drive change within Cook Brothers Construction.
This role will be part time so can work around your lifestyle if need be.
