The Build Team Manager (Site Manager) Role is responsible for leading, supporting and assisting a group of carpenters/apprentice carpenters to ensure well executed projects.

Lead Tool Box meetings and have oversight of quality of work carried out to minimize rework.  Complete time sheets daily to ensure your team are paid. Provide direction, co-ordination, execution, control and completion of specific work ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals as delegated by the Project Manager.

As a suitable candidate you will possess:

  • Minimum 6 years building experience post qualifications
  • Licensed Building Practitioner (required)
  • Gold Card or higher (preferred)
  • Communication – building and maintaining positive relationships that establish credibility and rapport with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven ability to contribute to the delivery of a profit to the business
  • Negotiation skills with the ability to define and articulate information, concepts and influence people and manage conflicting interests

You will be responsible for:

– Maintenance of all company tools
– Manage tool check out/return process
– Stock take and documentation of all tools
– Test and tagging of all tools
– Liaise with suppliers and negotiate prices
– Liaise with site managers to determine what their tool requirements are for project team

We are looking for someone who:
– Has superb organisation skills – bordering on being obsessed with this
– Be someone who can relate well with site teams but not be a push over
– Has a good grasp of the building industry and knows what tools are right for the job
