Christchurch City Fire Station

Canterbury Commercial

With great pride, our Canterbury team has completed the latest fire station for our valued client, Fire and Emergency New Zealand.

The highly anticipated Christchurch City Fire Station and training centre was positioned on the site of the original fire station, which was damaged in the Canterbury Earthquakes.

The project involved several components, including a 1500m2 Fire Station with second-floor living quarters, a separate four-bay appliance garage, 25-meter high training tower, carport for eight vehicles, and associated landscaping/utilities to operate as an emergency response unit.

A community bin was established to recycle and divert offcuts and extra materials from landfills. Despite challenges with covid during the build, the team brought the project in on programme and to budget.

This new state of the art facility will aid in helping FENZ perform to their highest standards. The client is incredibly happy with our team's performance and has awarded us other projects on the back of the station.
