Intus

Medical practice, Intus, opened its new clinic doors to Dunedin, in late 2022. Cook Brothers Otago were proud to deliver the new administration office, team facilities, meeting room, and initial consultation rooms on the upper floor of their leased building as part of Stage One. From here, Cook Brothers were asked to carry on and deliver the ground floor clinic space.

The ground floor clinic required the removal of an existing fit-out, a treatment to the existing structure, a new lift shaft bought up through the building and then partitioning erected to create the space allocation in the clinic. Patients are now greeted with a warm and generous waiting area, inviting consultation rooms, state-of-the-art treatment and procedure rooms, utility areas, and a peaceful recovery room, all looping back to the waiting area.

Dedicated plant rooms were built to accommodate the significant services component of the fit-out, including the Hepa Filtration installation in the procedure rooms and fixed plant medical gas.

The Otago team worked through critical supply challenges, such as the national plasterboard shortage and pressing procurement dates. Despite the pressure of this industry-wide challenge, our team utilised proactive replanning with our Trade Partners and achieved the completion date. The building was transformed into a stunning modern clinic with a delighted client.
