The Cook Brothers Academy held its first Apprentice Summit in Queenstown this October, aiming to develop, support, and expose our Team to different environments in the industry outside of their everyday sites.

The Summit was a fantastic opportunity for our Team to come together and build on their leadership, communication and relationships over our national network. Over the two days, the Apprentice team collaborated with their Regional Managers, Apprentice Development Coach, and our People and Performance Manager through several practical and educational sessions aimed at supercharging performance.

The group visited two Southern Lakes construction sites, Ayrburn and Belfast Terrace, for a site tour and feedback session from leaders within our One Team and tours of local businesses in the region, gaining insight into the industry's demands of fabrication and procurement. Thank you to the teams at Hector Eggers Factory in Cromwell, Balcrom (pre-cast concrete) and NZ SIP (Structural Insulated Panels) for your warm welcomes and hospitality.

The Cook Brothers Apprentice Academy is proud to offer these unique learning opportunities whereby Apprentices can network, learn, speak up and elevate their learning. The Academy aims to produce industry leaders, and we are confident those who stepped up to the plate during this Summit will forge the way.
