About the Role:

We’re on the lookout for a passionate, people-focused Part-Time HSSQ Coordinator to join our awesome team in Dunedin!

We’re looking for someone who’s excited to make a real impact, strengthen our positive HSSQ culture, and help drive initiatives that make our sites safer, and our teams even stronger, while having fun along the way.

In this role, you’ll be the glue that helps connect the dots across our projects in Dunedin while being part of the National HSSQ team. The role includes rolling out initiatives, championing continuous improvement, and building great relationships across the business. We are looking for an approach that brings energy, initiative, and a passion for people and doing things better every day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the rollout of national HSSQ initiatives and projects across the business.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with site teams, project managers, and support staff.
  • Promote and encourage a strong, engaged HSSQ culture where people feel empowered to speak up and lead by example.
  • Complete audits, site observations, and assist in the development of practical tools and resources to support HSSQ goals.
  • Help communicate key messages, success stories, and updates around health, safety, sustainability, and quality.
  • Contribute ideas and energy to continuous improvement efforts across all areas of HSSQ.
  • Support training, events, and initiatives that make HSSQ accessible, practical, and part of everyday site life.
  • Be an active voice for positive change—bringing fresh thinking and a solutions-focused mindset to the team.

Skills and Experience:

You may have come from a medical background, and are seeking to move into a Coordinator role, or you have a background in the construction industry, with a passion for all things HSSQ.

As an ideal candidate, you will have:

  • Positive and influential customer service skills
  • Adaptability in responding to different ideas, situations and/or people
  • An understanding of health, safety, sustainability, and quality requirements within the workplace
  • Experience within an Administration role
  • Clear and effective communication skills
  • Strong computer skills including Word, Excel
  • High level of time management skills
  • Current drivers licence
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or studying towards a qualification is highly desired
  • Previous experience within the Construction Industry is highly desired
