About the Role: Project Manager, Canterbury

With a strong pipeline of commercial projects ahead, we are looking for experienced Project Managers to join our high-performing Canterbury team.

In this role, you will take ownership of project delivery from start to finish—leading teams, working closely with Quantity Surveyors, Site Managers, and trade partners, and ensuring each project is delivered smoothly, on time, and to the highest standard. Your proactive approach will combine strategic planning, client engagement, and strong on-site leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all aspects of commercial construction projects
  • Develop and maintain project programmes, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders
  • Champion Health & Safety excellence across all sites
  • Oversee budgets, financial reporting, and cost control
  • Deliver high-quality outcomes and support sustainable construction practices
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, building codes, and legislation
  • Provide clear guidance and leadership to Site Managers and project teams

About You

You are an experienced Project Manager with a minimum of 5 years’ experience within Commercial Construction, in New Zealand or Australia, who is skilled at leading teams, motivating others, and delivering projects on time and to the highest standard.

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and develop teams
  • Confident communicator, adept at managing challenges constructively
  • Strong expertise in planning, scheduling, and programme management
  • High-level understanding of Health & Safety compliance
  • Strong financial and negotiation skills
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., Procore)
  • Recognised New Zealand or Australian trade qualification
