About the Role: Project Manager, Canterbury

With our pipeline of commercial projects continuing to expand, we are seeking Expressions of interest from experienced Project Managers, to join our high performing team in Canterbury.

As a Project Manager, you will be the driving force behind project delivery – leading by example, motivating teams and working closely with Quantity Surveyors, Site Managers, and trade partners. You will bring a proactive mindset and the ability to balance strategy, client relationships and on the ground leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all aspects of commercial construction projects
  • Develop and manage project programs, ensuring milestones are met
  • Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and stakeholders
  • Drive Health & Safety excellence across all sites
  • Manage budgets, financial reporting and cost control
  • Champion quality outcomes and sustainable construction practices
  • Ensure compliance with policies, codes and legislation
  • Provide leadership and guidance to Site Manager and Build Teams

Skills and Experience

  • 1 – 3 years project management experience in commercial construction
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams
  • Confident communicator with the ability to manage challenges constructively
  • Demonstrated planning and program management experience and technical programming ability
  • Highly organized being able to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to deliver to manage and deliver quality
  • High level understanding of Health & Safety compliance
  • Strong financial and negotiation skills
  • Experience with Project Management Software ie: Procore
  • New Zealand or Australian recognised Trade Qualification (advantageous)
