About the Role: Project Manager, Queenstown

Continued growth across our commercial portfolio has created opportunities for experienced Project Managers to join our high-performing Queenstown team. With a strong pipeline of projects, this role offers the chance to take a key leadership position, shaping delivery excellence and supporting the ongoing success of our expanding operations.

As a Project Manager, you will drive project performance and build capability within the team. Leading from the front, you’ll foster collaboration, strengthen client relationships, and maintain momentum across projects from concept to completion. Working closely with Quantity Surveyors, Site Managers, and Trade Partners, you’ll bring a proactive, strategic approach while maintaining a strong on-site presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and lead commercial construction projects from initiation to completion.
  • Plan, monitor, and manage project schedules to achieve key milestones and deadlines.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
  • Promote and enforce Health & Safety best practices across all sites.
  • Manage project budgets, financial reporting, and cost control measures.
  • Ensure high-quality outcomes and champion sustainable construction practices.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, building codes, and relevant legislation.
  • Provide leadership, support, and guidance to Site Managers and project teams.

About You

A confident, organised, and driven construction professional, capable of leading projects from start to finish while fostering growth and development within the team. Embraces challenges as opportunities to learn, inspire, and help both projects and people reach their full potential.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in commercial construction.
  • Demonstrated success as a Project Manager, delivering projects on time and to a high standard.
  • Strong leadership skills with a passion for guiding, mentoring, and developing teams.
  • Confident and constructive communicator, able to manage challenges and build positive relationships.
  • Expertise in planning, scheduling, and programme management.
  • Thorough understanding of Health & Safety compliance requirements.
  • Strong financial insight, cost management, and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficient in project management software, such as Procore.
  • Detail-oriented, delivering high-quality outcomes across projects in the Southern Lakes Region.
  • Recognised Trade Qualification in New Zealand or Australia.
