About the Role: Project Manager, Canterbury

With a growing pipeline of commercial projects, we are inviting Expressions of Interest from experienced Project Managers to join our high-performing team in Queenstown. 

As a Project Manager, you will be instrumental in delivering projects successfully – leading by example, inspiring teams, and collaborating closely with Quantity Surveyors, Site Managers, and trade partners. You will bring a proactive approach, balancing strategic planning, client engagement, and hands-on leadership on site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all aspects of commercial construction projects from start to finish.
  • Develop and oversee project programs to ensure milestones and deadlines are achieved.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
  • Drive Health & Safety excellence across all sites.
  • Manage budgets, financial reporting, and cost control.
  • Champion quality outcomes and sustainable construction practices.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, building codes, and legislation.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to Site Managers and Build Teams.

About You

The ideal candidate will be confident, organised, and capable of leading projects from start to finish while inspiring and guiding their team.

Key Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in commercial construction.
  • Strong track record as a Project Manager, delivering successful projects.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire, guide, and develop teams.
  • Confident communicator, able to manage challenges constructively and maintain positive relationships.
  • Solid expertise in planning, scheduling, and programme management.
  • Sound understanding of Health & Safety compliance requirements.
  • Strong financial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Experience using project management software, such as Procore.
  • Keen eye for detail delivering high quality projects within the Southern Lakes Region
  • Recognised Trade Qualification in New Zealand or Australia.
