About the Role: Site Manager, Auckland

Due to a strong pipeline of work in Auckland, we are searching for an experienced leader with proven capability in delivering projects from start to finish and who thrives in a team environment.

You will lead and mentor the Cook Brothers site team and trade partners, working closely with the Quantity Surveyor and Project Manager across Commercial and High‑End Residential build projects. This role is ideal for someone who brings strong site leadership, a solutions‑focused mindset, and a genuine commitment to quality and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program management - Strategically planning and effectively managing the construction program
  • Client & stakeholder liaison - Maintaining high service quality and strong relationships
  • Team leadership - Leading and assisting the team both on and off the tools to meet project demands
  • Risk mitigation - Applying a solution‑based approach to identify and resolve issues
  • Reporting - Health & Safety, quality, cost control, and budget reporting
  • Performance delivery - Meeting Key Performance Objectives for each project
  • Construction methodology - Ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, codes, and acts
  • Subcontractor management - Coordinating and managing subcontractor performance
  • Coaching & mentoring - Supporting your team to deliver high‑quality outcomes on time and on budget
  • Site meetings - Attending and leading site meetings and toolbox talks

Skills and Experience:

  • NZ/AUS Site Management experience
  • Minimum 5 years commercial construction site management experience
  • Structural experience (advantage)
  • Proven planning & program management capability
  • Commercial build experience
  • High‑end residential experience (advantage)
  • Strong leadership skills - recognising and celebrating team success
  • Solid IT skills - MS Office suite essential
  • Excellent communication skills - including navigating tough conversations
  • Leadership of Health & Safety - promoting a positive safety culture
