About the Role: Talent Acquisition Specialist, National

As our Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will be responsible for attracting, engaging and securing exceptional talent to join our team. This role is about more than filling vacancies — it’s about building meaningful, long-term talent pipelines and shaping a hiring strategy that supports sustainable growth.

You will lead the end-to-end recruitment process while also supporting onboarding and employment compliance requirements, ensuring every new team member feels welcomed, prepared and set up for success from day one.

This position can be based in any of our offices: Dunedin, Christchurch, Queenstown, Wānaka or Auckland.  Please specify your preferred location in your cover letter.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with hiring managers and leaders to understand business needs, workforce planning priorities and role requirements.
  • Proactively source, engage and build strong relationships with high-quality candidates for both current and future opportunities.
  • Provide expert, consultative advice on recruitment best practice, market insights and talent pipeline development.
  • Manage job advertising platforms, including job tokens and campaign performance.
  • Oversee visa and immigration processes, ensuring compliance and smooth coordination for international hires.
  • Lead and enhance the onboarding experience to ensure a seamless and positive transition for new employees.

If you are passionate about building relationships, navigating the finer details of recruitment compliance, and creating exceptional candidate experiences, we’d love to hear from you.

About You:

We are looking for someone with proven experience in talent acquisition who takes a relationship-driven, strategic approach to recruitment– someone who understands the bigger picture rather than simply focusing on transactional hiring.

You will bring natural curiosity and a genuine growth mindset, continuing seeking better ways to engage talent, strengthen pipelines and improve recruitment processes.

Alongside this you will have:

  • Previous end to end recruitment experience within New Zealand or Australia
  • Demonstrated experience working with NZ Immigration requirements, including managing Accreditations and employment visas
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels
  • Proven experience supporting onboarding and ensuring smooth transition for new hires
  • Exposure to the Construction industry or a related sector would be advantageous but not essential
