We’re looking for a driven Working Foreperson who can lead a crew, work alongside them when needed, and deliver projects safely, on time, to budget and to a high standard. You’ll be the on-site point of contact for trade partners, keeping the team motivated and ensuring everything runs smoothly from planning through to handover.
In this role, you’ll lead and support your team both on and off the tools, run site and toolbox meetings, monitor progress, budgets, and timelines, and report to the Site Manager. You’ll manage RFIs, documentation, and QA processes, including following up on corrective actions and handling Local Authority consent signoffs.
Coaching and mentoring apprentices and carpenters will be key, as will reading drawings, setting daily tasks, and making the best use of time and resources. Your leadership and communication skills will help foster a motivated, high-performing team while maintaining accurate site records and high-quality standards.
To thrive in this role, you will bring a trade qualification and at least six years of post-qualification building experience on commercial projects, a current Site Safe Gold Card, and proven leadership experience.
You will have the ability to positively influence teams, lead from the front, and motivate others to achieve high-quality outcomes. Strong communication and negotiation skills, confidence using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, and a solid understanding of Health and Safety requirements are essential as well as being reliable, adaptable, and hands-on, with a current and valid driver’s licence.
