It was a proud day for Cook Brothers Construction and their associated Trade Partners with the official opening of Christchurch’s Anzac Fire Station on the 8th December by the Christchurch Mayor, Lianne Dalziel.
The Anzac Fire Station combines the former New Brighton Volunteer Brigade and Wainoni Fire Station and forms part of the ongoing redevelopment of Christchurch’s network following the 2011 earthquakes; a huge benefit to the local community. With four appliance bays, training and operations rooms, a gym, kitchen, lounge and purpose-built "dirty to clean" zones the station is well equipped for the growing team.
The station is a credit to our Canterbury Cook Brothers team who received special mention on the day for their professionalism, tidy site and smooth running of the project. Well done to Tony Morley, Iain Irons, Phil Snelling and all the team who worked on the project, we are very proud of your efforts.
Cook Brothers are proud to continue our relationship with Fire and Emergency NZ and their Christchurch rebuild programme, with the Redwood Fire Station currently under construction.
