On the 17th May 2019, Cook Brothers Construction proudly stood with the rest of Aotearoa to help turn the country into a sea of pink for Pink Shirt Day to Kōrero Mai, Kōrero Atu, Mauri Tū, Mauri Ora – Speak Up, Stand Together, Stop Bullying!

Our workplace and community should be a place where people feel safe, valued and respected. Pink Shirt Day reminds us that any action big or small will lead to positive change. Our team is the heart of Cook Brothers so this movement sits close to our values.

Each of our regions spread the Aroha and wore our pink shirts with pride. We all took a moment to share, appreciate and listen to our teams. Down South in Otago, a BBQ was shared on site with a pink morning tea held in the office. Epic baking and smoko were shared on our picturesque sites and in our office in Southern Lakes. In Canterbury, a well-attended office morning tea was enjoyed. Whilst further up North our Auckland team also enjoyed a scrumptious and well deserved morning tea with some fantastic homemade cupcakes!

Stand with us and New Zealand, and take action! Join the movement to end bullying.
