For the month of November, Cook Brothers Construction was again proud to support Movember. Our motivation to support this cause was simple. We wanted to help men take action; too many men are dying too young. This year we had a strong focus on mental health and suicide. In the New Zealand construction industry, 30 men commit suicide each year. This is an alarming statistic. As an industry that is typically male-dominated, we wanted to start those conversations and break the stigma around mental health. It's time we make a change and show our support for each other.
During the month, BBQs were held, conversations were shared amongst us, and many bravely put their faces on the line to grow some amazing looking Mo's. It was a fantastic team effort, with the largest involvement of our team yet. Our team collectively raised $2000 and moved over 800km across the month.
Cook Brothers Construction will always stand together to make a positive change. Thank you to everyone who participated in raising awareness and money for Men's health.
