The new facility increased storage capacity from 1,000 to over 4,300 pallet spaces, supported by an advanced electronic warehouse management system.
Engagement through our Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) process allowed the project team to identify and mitigate risks before construction began, ensuring certainty in delivery, cost and quality.
Close collaboration with the project team, Trade Partners, and Auckland Council - leveraging the Last Planner System on TouchPlan - enabled the team to tackle complex ground conditions and regulatory delays. This agile, transparent approach helped the team recover from a 14-day delay, to deliver the project ahead of schedule.
Sustainability was prioritised throughout the project. Concrete from the demolished warehouse was processed on-site by Ward Demolition and repurposed for ground improvements, significantly reducing both waste and costs. CLL Service & Solutions installed 908 rammed-aggregate piers - ensuring a robust foundation and delivering long-term value.
This project showcases how proactive planning, innovation, and strong collaboration deliver efficient, future-ready facilities for leading businesses like Suntory Oceania.
